June is talking about an amazing stroke of luck that she really did not expect just after buying a flat in Beijing.

• Dialogue

June: I can’t believe it! I thought it was such bad luck that we bought a house really near to my work then my company announces it’s going to move the office to the CBD – miles away!

David: Yeah, that’s really bad luck. You’ll now have to commute even farther than you did before!

June: Well, that’s the thing. We got lucky! You see, though my office moved to the CBD, they offered to give a company car to all senior managers who live outside a 15 mile radius of the office! So basically, we’ve now got a new car!

David: Ha ha. Great! So it was a blessing in disguise!

a blessing in disguise 是指开始看起来很糟糕的事情，最后却变成了一件好事。可译为“因祸得福”。June刚在公司附近买了房子，公司就搬走了。这看上去实在很倒霉。但她却因为离公司远而得到了一辆新汽车。所以David说她这是“因祸得福”。
