圣诞节的各种节日气息早在11月份就在北京的各大商场，街头，办公楼蔓延，不知不觉中这个基督教的节日也在中国变的如火如荼。甭管什么教派，咱们就图个热闹，图个喜庆，和一个大家凑在一起找乐子的借口。

终于在明天我们就要迎来圣诞前夜了，你有什么计划呢？ 我（Super Angela 来自EQ高分团队）会与朋友们一起庆祝，我们还会有一个礼物互换的活动，非常期待呢！

• Q. Is Christmas popular in your country?

Answer: Yes, Christmas is extremely popular in Britain. Although many British citizens are not Christians, most British people celebrate Christmas. This includes decorating one’s house with tinsel, pictures of Father Christmas and his reindeer etc; putting up a Christmas tree with lights; buying presents for everyone in your family; eating an enormous Christmas dinner and generally drinking too much! People of all ages enjoy this holiday period, not least because we have a 2-week holiday from work! Generally speaking, though, Christmas is most popular with children. They get so excited about receiving so many presents and can’t wait for Father Christmas to come and deliver their gifts!

• Q. What do you dislike about Christmas?

Answer: Normally, I really enjoy myself at Christmas. However, there are a few things that really annoy me about it. The first, I guess, has to be the way Christmas is so commercialised nowadays – loads of companies just see it as a golden opportunity to rake in the cash. This means that shops start putting up their Christmas decorations in October and TV Christmas adverts start playing at the start of November. This makes you feel like you’re sick of Christmas before it’s even started! The other thing that I’m not keen on is receiving unwanted presents. I’ve lost count of the amount of times I’ve received a terrible CD, ugly socks or a boring book – but the worst thing about receiving these was that I had to look really surprised, happy and grateful to the people that gave me them – they were sitting opposite me watching my reaction!

• Q. What do you normally do during Christmas?

Answer: Well, I normally have about 2 weeks of holiday at Christmas so I spend most of my time just lazing around the house, doing nothing. Then, on Christmas Eve, my family usually has a big dinner with lots of people. At about 8 p.m. I’ll go to the local pub and have a few beers with my mates. The pub never closes before midnight, so we’re all able to wish each other a Merry Christmas before going home. On Christmas Day, I’m often a little hung over so I like to sleep in till quite late. We don’t have dinner until 9 in the evening and because the meal is so big we usually don’t finish eating until 10.30 or so. Only then can we open our presents – it used to be torture waiting for so long when I was a kid!
