所有的小作文都是从图表或者曲线图等简单描述开始的。如何开始一个短小精练的开场白呢？ 注意，你千万不能照搬此段描述。可是，你完全可以意译此描述。这意味着你需要用自己的语言写出此描述。

这里举出一个小作文描述的例子：

The graph below shows the proportion of the population aged 65 and over between 1940 and 2040 in three different countries.

下面是意译范例：

The line graph compares the percentage of people aged 65 or more in three countries over a period of 100 years.

你可以看到简单的词汇添加： compares, percentage of people, 65 or more. 我转换了时间的描述， 以及句子结构（把国家提到了时间前面）。这些都显示了对语言的运用能力，可以让考官给你加分。
