今天我们延伸一下听力这个话题。介绍新的语言学习方法，听——学习语言最有效的方法。

“I like to listen. I have learned a great deal from listening carefully. Most people never listen.” — Ernest Hemingway

先说几个例子，希望可以对大家有所启发。

1. 上学的时候，我总很好奇，为什么我的同学比我学习好？我们的区别是，我上课不听课，下课自己看书；他上课很认真的听，做笔记，问问题，然后做做作业就比我学习好很多。
2. 最近一个朋友在学习西班牙语，他的学习方法是，先听学习材料，把材料反复听上3-5遍以后，再看学习材料，结果发现，所有的学习要点很轻松的就记住掌握了。
3. 本人在长期的与外国同事工作中发现，我听过生词或短语，听过3-5次我就记住并且会使用了。

下面请大家阅读下面的材料，练习雅思阅读的同时，思考：上面的例子的共同点及原因是什么？

It is virtually impossible to think of a task that does not require hearing, which most people are able to do. However, people do not always listen. The two terms, listening and hearing, are often used interchangeably but mean very different things. According to the International Listening Association:

• 45 percent of a student’s day is spent listening.
• Students are expected to acquire 85 percent of the knowledge they have by listening.
• Only 2 percent of the population ever received formal listening instruction.

The majority of the population is born with the ability to hear, but not to listen. When it comes to language learning, listening is essential for Observation and imitation.

Why crawl if you can walk? Trying to master a language without listening to it is as futile as playing the piano without listening to music or trying to learn to swim by analyzing the chemical composition of water instead of plunging into it.

If you want to learn a language quickly, you should:

1. Actively listen to the recordings 3 times

2. Read the original text (of the recording) to understand the content

3. Actively listen to the recordings 3 times at least

4. Repeat with the recordings many times
