春节在我们中国人的眼中，是一年中最重要节日。小孩子可以不用上学，买新衣服，收压岁钱；大人可以放假休息，与家人团聚。

不得不说，小时候的春节是丰富多彩的，小时候的愿望是容易满足的，小时候的喜悦更是简单直接的。现在长大了，年对我而言，少了放鞭炮，藏猫猫，过家家的简单乐；取而代之的是，风干的蜡，索然无味。但是，回忆总是美好的，因此，虎年的春节前夕，让我们一起回想下小时候春节的趣事吧。

Spring Festival was my favourite holiday when I was in primary school. I was always happy when Spring Festival came around because it meant no school for a month and a half, new clothes, some pocket money and a lot of free time to play games with my friends.

I remember one Spring Festival eve, when I went outside with my cousins and uncle to light fireworks. We split into 2 teams to compete whose fireworks were prettier.  We had so many fireworks that the whole sky was lit up with all the colourful flowers and different patterns. We messed around and made fun of each other. While we were having so much fun, suddenly we heard the sound of glass breaking. One of the fireworks had broken the kitchen window of our house!  Right after we realised what had happened, me and my cousin ran back home to avoid any trouble. In the end, my uncle apologised to my mother and sorted everything out. It is my favourite spring festival memory, I still remember how pretty the fireworks were and how much fun we had that night!
