Zoe’s strengths are:
* She speaks fluently with a very clear accent and some idea of native speaker intonation and rhythm.
* Her vocabulary range is wide and she shows an ability to speak with a number of ‘native speaker’ collocations and puts words together in a way which indicates she has spent some time not only studying, but speaking with native speakers.
* Her grammar is very accurate, though not perfect. She uses complex sentences with ease and links these sentences well with transitional words. Therefore, she controls her clauses well and in a fairly natural way.
* In part 3, she expresses her own opinions and extends her answers well, showing an understanding of how other people in society view things. This gives life to her English and means she can show the examiner a wider range of language than a student who relates everything to only themselves or very short answers to questions.
So why did Zoe not get a 7?
* Getting a 7 is very difficult because your English has to be incredibly accurate. You don’t have to speak as well as a native speaker, of course, but you need to have a very high control of grammar and also learn to ‘put words together’ in the way that native speakers do.
* Zoe is fluent, but she has some grammar problems which probably keep her from getting a 7. These grammar problems crop up just a little too frequently for the interviewer to award her a 7.
For Example:
“I am living in the downstairs” instead of “I live downstairs”
“My parents don’t come to the upstairs to bother me”. instead of “My parents don’t come upstairs...”
* It would not take Zoe long to bump her score up to a 7 - she would have to study a little more to brush up on those collocations and basic grammatical errors. It would be advisable that she also spend a bit more time speaking with native speakers who can actively correct her mistakes and guide her into speaking slightly more like a native.

Zoe的口语优势：

Zoe口语流利，发音清晰，并且初具母语者的语音语调。
词汇量较广泛，她的回答中出现的地道词的排列形式表现出她不仅花了大量时间学习，并且跟母语者练习口语。
语法的使用有很高准确性，但是还不是很完美。可以轻松的使用复合句，并用连接词连接句子。因此，她可以自然地控制复合从句。
在第三部分，Zoe表达自己的看法意见，并且对回答做很好的扩展，表现出她对社会上其他人对事物看法的理解。这使她的英语鲜活起来，向考官显示她广泛使用语言的能力，而不是像一些学生只能把问题与自己关联起来，或只给出很短的回答。

Zoe没有取得更高的分数的原因：

要得到7分是相当难的，因为学生英语的准确度必须非常高。当然，你不需要说的跟母语者一模一样，但是你必须非常准确的使用语法，而且能够像母语者一样以某种方式安排句子结构。
Zoe口语流利，但是语法错误出现频率稍微有点高，没有使她得到7分。

例如：
“I am living in the downstairs” instead of “I live downstairs”
“My parents don’t come to the upstairs to bother me”. instead of “My parents don’t come upstairs...”
Zoe只要多加练习语法使用的准确度及地道的表达，就可以较快的获得7分。跟母语者练习并且能帮助她改正语法错误，将是她获取7分的明智之举。
